Human trafficking in all its forms is an extreme violation of human rights. And often pertinent issues like these go unnoticed due to the complexity and density of the topic area. This campaign intends to break through that challenge by engaging online creative communities and handing them the baton to raise awareness on the issue in an easy-to-communicate way.

Guidelines
To ensure that your submissions align with this initiative's ethos and respect survivors' dignity, we’ve outlined a set of guidelines. Please read them carefully before you begin creating your content.
Dos:
- Be Accurate and Respectful: Fact-check your content and avoid sensationalism. Use language that is respectful and non-judgmental.
- Survivors not Victims: Refer to individuals as "survivors" rather than "victims" to emphasise their journey ahead and future rather than trauma and past.
- Use empowering language: To highlight survivors’ resilience, strength, and journey toward rebuilding their lives. We focus on narratives that inspire change and foster understanding.
- Showcase survivors’ fight to reclaim their lives and their efforts to challenge societal norms.
- Respect Privacy and Consent: If your submission includes images, videos, or testimonials of trafficking survivors, ensure you have their explicit consent before using them.
Don’ts:
- Avoid Pity Narratives: Do not create content that seeks pity or portrays survivors as powerless. Instead, focus on their strength and determination.
- No Child Photos in Negative Light: Do not use images of children in a manner that could reinforce negative stereotypes or depict them in distressing circumstances.
- Avoid Exploitation: Do not use survivor stories or visuals solely for shock value or to elicit emotional reactions without a constructive purpose.
